I know that Dr. Paul Hooker (Exec at St. Aug. Pres.) said he would do Polity I, II, and III in Orlando. We originally had Rev. Jean Goodwin scheduled to teach a Foundation course, but she has since resigned from that position. It's not been filled yet, but hopefully we can recruit the new person.
I agree on mileage. Some of the mileage for teaching is already included in ministers' budgets, but not necessarily in all cases. It's something to consider and possibly vote on. Maybe on an individual basis?
I don't know exactly what and which instructors may have already been sought after?
I have spoken to several that gave instruction for May 2007 Conference in Daytona Beach and they have the time down for 2009 but are looking for the dates?
I think Jackie D. said she would have the schedule ready upon returning from Denver? Is there anything available yet? I spoke about this to several at the last Central Florida Presbytery meeting and they wanted to look into the dates of that week. These pastors are fillling up their calendars and I don't want to miss utilizing them as much as possible for FREE w/out paying an honoraium if possible.
With the price of gasoline today we may need to consider paying mileage or something for them though! Which then needs to be calculated into the conference costs for those of you taking our suggestions to Denver for National to dictate our prices!
