Just a note about retreat breakfasts - I didn't like the bag breakfast idea and I don't like breakfast on your own. I know there is concern about diabetics - I am one - and I do think we should identify them.
But almost any meal has something even a diabetic can eat. If breakfast were to include yogurt, fruit, low carb breakfast bars, and perhaps a supply of non-sweet cereals for those who need them, I think it would become a non-issue.
This past conference I brought my own cereal and yogurt and got fruit in the break room and had no problem. It is helpful if the rooms have a refrig and I am not sure Regal Sun Resort does. (According to Michele, it does.)
